Paddlewheel to B&G Underwater Unit Converter

Converts new style paddlewheel boat speed sensor signals to old style B&G UWU signals. NMEA output also available as an option, providing a standalone unit with built in calibration and NMEA output to interface to, for instance, a PC or chartplotter.

The USB Merge Computer merges and filters 2 NMEA inputs into 1 NMEA output with an additional USB connection for a PC, allowing any navigation software to receive and transmit fully Opto-Isolated NMEA. Additionally, user selectable filters can be set to filter in or out any combination of NMEA sentences independently from either input. Use standalone 2 into 1 NMEA or connect to a PC to automatically provide 2 NMEA into USB and USB back to NMEA. No additional power supply is required when connected to USB. NMEA 0183-HS 38.4 K Baud can be selected on Input 1 and Output whilst still merging standard low speed NMEA through Input 2. This enables the unit to combine ATIS and GPS signals for instance. Drivers for Windows Vista, XP, NT, 2000, and 98. Flash upgradeable by end user. Custom software service available.

Analogue input to NMEA or CAN Bus 2000

We have hardware ready for programming that can convert any 3 analogue signals into NMEA or CAN BUS. This hardware has two seperarte CAN buses, so it has also be used as a gateway device to seamlessly 'merge' missing data into existing PGN's. For instance, some engine manufactures do not include Oil Pressure or Tilt/Trim in the standard PGN, so this device can happily add it so the receiving instruments belive the information originated from the engine

Speed/Depth sensors to NMEA/USB

The Speed/Depth NMEA/USB can be connected to most manufactures speed and depth sensors to give NMEA and/or USB speed and depth to integrated instruments or PC's. Depth can be selected from between 150 to 235 kHz. Speed sensor can be either coil pickup type or hall effect type. In addition, unit can calculate sea temperature and input supply voltage. Unit has an additional NMEA input that can be used to merge onto an existing NMEA Datastream.

The NMEA Paddlewheel converts NMEA from either a GPS or electromagnetic log to a paddlewheel output suitable for connecting directly to an instrument system, such as a B&G Hydra/Hercules.

Rudder Angle Indicator Mk3

Specifications

This unit can be connected directly to a rudder reference potentiometer, sharing it with an autopilot if necessary, giving a very accurate rudder angle meter with a very fast response! Calibration can now be performed to give absolute position of rudder in degrees or indicate rudder end stops at the meter full scale. Custom scaled meters are also available making this product truly versatile. NMEA output also available as an option.
